About

Back Rome Again, formerly Josiah Concept Ministries, is a blog run by Cory Tucholski. The purpose of this site is not to change anyone’s mind about their beliefs. Rather, I want people to see that Christians do have answers to challenges presented to their faith. Too often, it seems, challenges are issued to the Christian faith and the challenger receives a “pat” or “cop-out” answer.  The purpose of this blog is to show that more than “Have more faith”-type answers exist.

The blog originally espoused a back-to-basics approach similar to the one that King Josiah had in the Old Testament book of Kings. Hence the old name. However, the closer I studied the Bible alongside Christian history, the more I noticed that the Catholic Church was the church founded by Jesus Christ in the gospel of Matthew, upon the confession of St. Peter (the first Pope). Towards the end of 2012, when I was still blogging regularly, I was identified by many of my opponents as “a Catholic blogger,” even though I wouldn’t have called myself such. My theology, without ever realizing it, had become Catholic.

Since I was a cradle Catholic who has re-embraced the faith of his birth, I have effectively come back home again and that is the new name of the blog. You may look at my aborted attempt to blog at Patheos here.

CoryI am the proprietor of this little corner of the web.  I am an autodidact with regard to apologetics and philosophy; I have no formal degrees in either one.

My primary job is father of 4 amazing kids. My current job is assistant manager at Bob Evans.

I have shifted my focus from blogging to media. TikTok, podcasting, YouTube. However, you’ll still see deeper reflections here than is possible on TikTok.
