Maybe that’s correct, but I find it pretty similar to “belief without proof” if the person/thing trusted isn’t demonstrably worthy of trust…so the trust itself is irrational…I personally have faith in scientists, but I think that faith is reasonable, since, unless there’s a conspiracy, the folks I’m trusting value evidence, have often amassed tons of it before they tell me something…
